Blossoms of Light — Watercolour Series

Inspired by the original Fatimid stucco window panels of Jāmiʿ al-Anwar, Zahr al-Anwār reinterprets their intricate patterns through a delicate series of compositions. Light filters through the ornamental forms, while fruits, blossoms, and foliage grow alongside them, symbolising beauty, abundance, and life. The series brings together Fatimid heritage and nature, allowing historic patterns to bloom anew in a contemporary expression.
